Take a moment...

Good evening to whom ever reads these bolgg's...

Today I thought about the things we do everyday with out realizing... Like walking down the street on a casual Sunday after-dinner-stoll for instance. You walk past so many different people, of all shapes and sizes, and whether you choose to verbalise it or not...you look at them in a critical manner. (This by the way is human. We are curious creatures, and what could be more intriuging than the most complex life form on plannet earth?!)

What most of us say (or think) is, : " Would you look at the pimples on that guys face?!?! " ; " Can you believe the size of that woman on the park bench! Hell someone call the SPCA! We have a beached whale in town! " >>>I've heard worse things being said by people<<<

You know, the irony in this is that most of the time the things we say and think about strangers are present in our own life's. You could be a bit over weight, and say you're just cuddly...but the moment you see some one else like you, you see them as fat n ugly.

OR Sitting on the couch watching T.V with a few friends. During the add break you see a woman with anorexia and with out thinking say :"These anorexic chick's are hideous. We said maintain a healthy weight, not starve your self into a size 0!"
Moments after you've said that, you realize your friend sitting next to you on the couch battles with anorexia every day...

My point is that we are so easy to judge, but more than half the time we are either in the same boat, or we know some one in that boat.

Isn't it strange though? We accept the fat, ugly, sick and deformed people in our own lives, whether it be a family member or a friend. Whilst we criticize and avoid strangers we see on our Sunday after-dinner-stroll, and that fat girl in the club.

I would love a world where this is all null and void, but unfortunately that can only be possible in heaven or some great parallel universe...

So next time you see the 'ugly' girl at class, or the fat guy having his lunch on the side walk, why not just say :"Hey!" with a smile? Or take a moment from your busy day to talk about the weather... You never know, you might just make their day.
